Tony Robinson’s Coast to Coast

Sir Tony Robinson embarks on an epic journey tracing the footsteps of Alfred Wainwright and his infamous Coast to Coast walk; from St Bees on the shores of the Lake District, to Robin Hood’s Bay on the shores of North Yorkshire.

About This Production

In 1973 the famous cartographer Alfred Wainwright published his A Coast to Coast Walk – a pocket sized pictorial guide that traced a route from the West Coast of England to the East – through the stunning scenery of three National parks; The Lake District, The Yorkshire Dales and the North Yorkshire Moors.

Now with Wainwright’s book as his guide Sir Tony Robinson is walking the 192 miles of this iconic walk. Across jaw-dropping countryside and picturesque villages, each episode will cover approximately 30 miles of Britain at its most beautiful. Along the way Tony will take in the astonishing scenery and absorb all the history, heritage and hospitality of the region.
