Channel 4 to embark on Olympic journey with Sophie Morgan

Sophie Morgan is setting out on her biggest adventure yet- travelling from India to Japan on a Mad Max-style Trike.

Sophie Morgan: The Longest Route To The Games (w/t), a 2×60’ commission from specialist factual, is to be produced by Full Fat TV and sees the campaigner and Rio Paralympics presenter sweat it out across the Himalayas, passing through Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.

Her momentous journey culminates in Japan where she will soak up the Olympic fever gripping Tokyo ahead of the 2020 Paralympics. Along the way she’ll be joined by fellow female bikers and local Paralympians as well as catching up with friends and family as she pushes herself to her physical and emotional limits in some of the world’s toughest terrain.

Nicola Brown, Commissioning Editor, said: “We’re thrilled that Sophie is taking on what is sure to be an inspiring and arduous journey. Bringing together some extraordinary locations with an endurance test like no other, we’re looking forward to an adventurous and surprising build up to the biggest sporting event in the world.”
