How to lose a stone: Bride-to-be sheds weight fast by swapping food for liquid
Jen was consuming 3,500 calories a day thanks to her party lifestyle. But, with a wedding around the corner, she appeared on Channel 5’s Lose a Stone for Christmas and took on the Huel Diet.
A woman desperate to lose weight for her wedding day managed to lose exactly one stone in a month by a simple lifestyle change – but it wasn’t easy.
Jen had started getting concerned after her party lifestyle saw her boozing almost every night and putting on the pounds.
Her love for chicken nuggets and fast food also impounded the problems and – in total – Jen was consuming a staggering 3,500 calories per day.
That’s 1,500 calories more than the NHS suggests is a healthy amount.
To make things worse, Jen was set to get married in the not-too-distant future.

She decided to take action and so signed up for Channel 5’s Lose A Stone For Christmas.
In Thursday’s episode, dietician Dr Amir Khan revealed to her that he would be giving her the Huel Diet to attempt for the next month.
The Huel Diet involves drinking one vegan Huel shake of 500 calories three times a day to replace the standard three meals.
It also allows you to have one bar of 250 calories.
That meant Jen would be having to cut her daily calorie intake by half.
As the episode showed, it understandably proved difficult particularly given during the month she stayed in a hotel that was offering three free meals a day.
She eventually caved three weeks in and ate a whole pack of Jaffa Cakes.
But, thankfully, it had little impact as after the four weeks were up, Dr Khan revealed Jen had managed to lose exactly one stone.
“I just can’t believe I managed to lose a stone in a month,” Jen said afterwards.
“If anything this has just pushed me to eat a normal healthy eat.
“I’ve learnt that I don’t need to drink every day.
“I’m going to try and maintain, try and get a bit tone and even a six-pack.
“I’m going to get to Ibiza and just feel hot.”
Lose A Stone For Christmas continues next Thursday at 8pm on Channel 5.
