Leicestershire Police’s youngest cops are back as they reveal the highs and lows of being on the frontline during the early stages of their careers.
The second series of Fresh Cops again follows young officers on shift as they tackle whatever comes their way, never knowing what the job might throw at them next.
Fresh Cops has been produced for BBC Three by Full Fat TV, a Birmingham-based production company.
Commissioned by Aisling O’Connor, BBC factual commissioner for Unscripted, this six-part series starts on Thursday 25 January at 9pm on BBC Three. The entire series drops as a boxset and is available to stream now on BBC iPlayer.
In each episode, the officers are pushed to the limit as they make their first arrests, chase down suspected criminals and deal with some people living through the most traumatic moments of their lives.
From dangerous dogs and getting called out to a stabbing at a party, to carrying out CPR, dismantling a cannabis grow and suspected arson, expect drama, hair-raising moments and young officers working day and night to be the best at what they do.
Returning officers from series one are joined by plenty of fresh faces including a privately-educated PC who’s never even played contact sports but has to find her feet quickly.
There’s also a sergeant who is a rising star of the force, a female Batman and Robin partnership, and a 007 young officer whose heart is in response.
The officers open up about their hopes, fears and the camaraderie that gets them through the most difficult shifts.
