Sarah Jones, Head of School, Birmingham School of Media
Sarah is the Head of the Birmingham School of Media at Birmingham City University. Her practice and research sits within emerging technologies and the development of immersive experiential films. She has a PhD in storyliving as a form of immersive VR and AR experiences. Sarah is listed in the top 15 global influencers in virtual reality and has worked with Digital Catapult, Immerse UK, Wired Magazine and more within these areas. Sarah has also given evidence to the UK Government’s Select Committee on Immersive Technology. Sarah is a Google Jump Creator and has created immersive experiences shown are festivals across the world.
Sarah is an Apple Distinguished Educator, a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
