The pressures faced by critical care staff at Coventry’s largest hospital will be documented in a new TV series which starts tonight (15). A&E: Crash Scene Emergency will go behind the scenes at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW) and focus on the medical workers who care for seriously injured crash victims.
Among the stories featured will be that of a grandfather who collapsed at the wheel and a Moto GP rider who was thrown off his bike at Silverstone. UHCW Chief Executive Professor Andy Hardy said the series gave the Trust “a real opportunity to show the dedication, passion and skill of our teams, and the care, kindness and compassion shown to our patients”.
The full Radio Times listing says: “Documentary following the work of medical teams in University Hospital Coventry’s trauma unit as they try to save the lives of people injured in traffic collisions.
