My Posh Little Pony

This documentary takes viewers inside a hidden world of pampered ponies, from the children who adore them to the parents who will go to any lengths – and spend a fortune – to indulge them.

About This Production

Peppered with jaw-dropping facts about the costs of horse-ownership and all the latest in designer equestrian gear, My Posh Little Pony is a glimpse into a world rarely seen on TV – a world of underfloor heated stables, solariums, massages and smoothies for horses, and a lot of glittery hooves!

In Dorset, 11-year-old Phoebe is so pony obsessed she sneaks toy ponies into her school bag and even has a £4,000 rocking horse replica of her precious pony Hattie. Whilst in the New Forest, ambitious 12-year-old Myrtle wanted to be home schooled so she could concentrate on her five horses and her show jumping career, all supported by mum Claire and stepdad Mark who run a multi-million-pound equestrian centre.

And in Lancashire, long-suffering Dad Adrian is having to turn his own home into an equestrian paradise for his pony-mad daughter Luella and mum Nicola. Finally in Worcestershire, the film goes behind the scenes at Pampered Ponies, where “real life unicorns” are created to indulge pony-obsessed children’s wildest dreams.
